As you can imagine I have been struggling not being in whistler for the last 6 months, but the last few weeks have been bittersweet. All the facebook updates of the mates getting out in the park and on the xc bikes makes me proper green, and then the coastal crew go put this little vid showing what we are missing out on just to put the boot in. Not fair. Read on for a positive outlook and a sick vid.
It wont let me upload the video as its hosted on pinkbike but you can see it here
So as I said its bittersweet because as the snow is melting over there the trails are drying up here and the nights are epic long now. Been out most nights after work for a climb or wee ride and we defiantly have it way better than some people, with the quick peaks access. Having the mega and a couple of weeks climbing in Chamonix later in the summer to look forward to is awesome although I probably should get a bit of a train on really.
Joe’s pumptrack is coming on but still needs a bit of work (any offers?) and there is the Rob stokes invitational super duper d downhill race to look forward too in june.
Poped out for a quick xc last night along the edges and took my sleeping bag so I could sleep out, then do a few more miles before work this morning. Had some good riding and a beautiful night out under the stars on my todd. Pretty nice being up there all quiet and shit. Also on the after work theme, the bike tree are having their first weekly ride this Wednesday starting from the shop at 6.30 sharp. Be there.
Roll on a sick euro summer.
