This weekend sees the 10th anniversary of SHAFF, the annual Sheffield Adventure Film Festival. Has it really been 10 years?
As with every year as the festival has evolved the Mountain Bike content has grown in both amount and quality. This year is no exception. The highlight this year is trails legend Danny Mac making a special appearance on sunday afternoon in the amphitheatre behind the train station. This will feature free screenings of his films and a Q&A session.
Away from Danny there are two Mountain Bike Film strands running. The first one features Sheffield’s own Steve Peat on his Yolo up in Scotchland. Another highlight is Joey Schusler’s film of circumnavigating the Huayhuash Andes in Peru. Truly Epic!
The second session features some local talent. Tom Richards has produced an all Sheffield affair, Forged. Documenting Sheffield’s riders and places it follows on from last years film North. Also in the session is Cut Media’s breath taking film of Danny Mac riding the Cuillin ridge on Sky. I can only imagine what it will look like on the big screen!
On a broader cycling agenda, theres plenty to keep you indoors all weekend!
